Guan Yin The Buddha's Helper

What do children do when they are afraid of monsters at night? Are face to face with creepy, crawly bugs? Have trouble with friends? Lose a loved one? Or make a mistake?

In this book, the gentle narrative encourages children to call on Guan Yin, the Buddha’s helper, in times of trouble. The text explains that Guan Yin is known by different names in China, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, India, and America and can appear in different forms to help, but she never tells you who she is.

Repetitive, soothing sentences and exquisite illustrations spark children’s imaginations to perceive the compassionate nature of Guan Yin, as well as their own innate potential to be calm, caring, and peaceful.
